Purpose

At Sweegen, we are committed to protecting the privacy, accuracy, and reliability of any personal information you provide, and to safeguarding such information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. This Privacy Policy or Notice (“Notice”) describes Sweegen’s current online practices regarding personal information collected through this website. Sweegen reserves the right to update or modify this Notice at any time.

Please take a few minutes to review this Notice. By accessing or using this site, you are consenting to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as set forth in this Notice. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not disclose any personal information to us and do not use this site.

What information do we collect?

Information that you provide. We collect the personal information you knowingly provide (using your mouse and keyboard) when you use our sites. Personal information is information that identifies you, either alone or in combination with other information available to us. Examples of personal information include your name, contact details, job applications and information about the pages you have viewed and the path you have taken through our sites.

Other Information. From time to time, we may supplement the information you give us with information from other sources, such as information validating your address, information based on your zip code, or information about your business. We may also supplement the information you give us with information we collect from you through other websites or other channels. For example, if you are a Sweegen customer, we may supplement the information you provide online with information you provide in your other business dealings with Sweegen.

Other Information Sent to Us by Your Web Browser. We collect information that is sent to us automatically by your Web browser. This information typically includes your IP address, the identity of your Internet Service Provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit, and the pages you visit. An “IP address” is a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you connect to the Internet. It is used to identify your computer’s “location” in cyberspace so that the information you request can be delivered to you. If you use a dial-up connection or a connection that assigns dynamic IP addresses, your computer will be assigned a new IP Address each time you connect to the Internet. If, however, your computer is permanently connected to the Internet using a static IP address, the IP address assigned to your computer will generally be the same each time you use your computer. Although it does not identify you by name, we treat your IP address as your personal information.

You should be aware that when you respond to an electronic communication you receive from us, for example, by opening an email, downloading images or clicking on a link in an electronic newsletter, your browser tells us that you (or someone using your email address) has done so. We use this information to improve our marketing efforts. In addition, we review our server logs – which contain visitors’ IP addresses – for security and fraud prevention purposes. If criminal activity is suspected, we may share our server logs and the personal information we have collected through this Site with the appropriate investigative authorities who could use that information to trace and identify individuals.

Cookies and Similar Technologies. A cookie is a small file sent by a website and stored on a user’s computer which enables the Website to remember information about you and your preferences. We use “cookies” and other Web technologies in a number of ways. For example, we may use these technologies

  • to collect information about the ways visitors use our sites – which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page;
  • to support the features and functionality of our sites – for example, to save you the trouble of reentering information already in our database or to prompt the settings you established on previous visits to our sites; and
  • to personalize your experience when you use our sites.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, purchase products, enter a contest or promotion, respond to a survey or marketing communication, browse our sites, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To personalize your site experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
  • To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.
  • To quickly process your transactions.
  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey, or other site feature.
  • To measure the success of our web or email advertising.

How do we protect visitor information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential.

Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term “outside parties” does not include Sweegen or website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Specifically, all personal information collected on contact or opt-in forms is shared with MailChimp and their privacy policy can be viewed here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

Website analytics

We may also partner with selected third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics and others, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on our site through the use of first party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyze and track users’ use of the site, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. By accessing the site, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policies contact them directly for responses to your questions. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors. However, if you do not want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, you can visit the third-party vendor or the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool or Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-Out Tool.

If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
